Stock Market Daily Updates | Nifty | Sensex | TradeBizz Research

Sensex, on Wednesday, closed 184 points down at 28156 as investors are worried of high valuations. Among sectors , Healthcare, Auto and Realty lost over 1.9% to 3.5% each. Among stocks, Tata steel, Sunpharma and Tata Motors lost over 2.6% to 10.3% each. Market breadth was negative with 2,169 declines against 664 advances.
 

Nifty closed 68 points down at 8,725. Today, we expect markets to open flat on the back of steady global cues.
 

US Markets closed on a positive note. Dow closed 0.5% up while Nasdaq closed 0.6% higher. US markets, today, will see data releases on Building Permits, Philly Fed Manufacturing Index, Unemployment Claims, Housing Starts and Natural Gas Storage. 

Asian markets are trading on a mixed note; Nikkei is trading 0.6% down and Hang Seng is trading 0.3% higher. SGX Nifty is trading flat at 8,759. Indian ADRs ended the day on a mixed note. Among financial ADRs, ICICI Bank closed 1.3% down, while HDFC Bank closed 0.3% higher. Among IT ADRs, Wipro closed 0.6% higher and Infosys lost 0.3%. Tata Motors ADR closed 3.0% down.
