Sensex, on Tuesday closed 12 points down at 28,339 as investors have refrained from fresh buying citing higher valuations. Among sectors, Realty, Metal and Autolost over 0.7% to 1.1% each. Among stocks, HUL, Heromoto corp and Tata Motors lost over 1.7% to 3.7% each. Market breadth was negative with 1,774 declines against 1,055 advances.

Nifty closed 13 points down at 8,792. Today, we expect markets to open positive amid positive global cues.

US Markets closed on a mixed note. Dow closed flat while Nasdaq closed 0.3%higher. U.S. stocks reversed early losses to extend a rally into a sixth day as Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen is of the view that more interest-rate hikes would be appropriate if the U.S. economy stays on course. US markets, today,will see data releases on CPI m/m, Core CPI m/m, Core Retail Sales m/m, Retail Sales m/m, Empire State Manufacturing Index, Capacity Utilization Rate, Industrial Production m/m, Fed Chair Yellen Testifies, Business Inventories m/m, NAHB Housing Market Index, Crude Oil Inventories, FOMC Member Harker Speaks, TICLong-Term Purchases and FOMC Member Dudley Speaks.

Asian markets are trading on a positive note; Nikkei is trading 1.2% higher and Hang Seng is trading 0.9% higher. SGX Nifty is trading 14 points up at 8,835. Indian ADRs ended the day on a mixed note. Among financial ADRs, ICICI Bank closed flat,while HDFC Bank closed 0.2% higher. Among IT ADRs, Wipro closed 1.2% higher and Infosys gained 1.8%. Tata Motors ADR closed 10.7% down.
