Sensex, Nifty open flat; HUL up 1%, Hindalco & Tata Motors down --- - 10 May 2016

The market has opened flat on Tuesday as the Sensex is down 15.74 points at 25673.12. The Nifty is down 2.80 points at 7863.25. About 396 shares have advanced, 261 shares declined, and 46 shares are unchanged. 
                                           


HUL is up 1 percent while Adani Ports, Dr Reddy's Labs, Tata Steel and Maruti are top gainers while Hindalco, Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel, NTPC and ONGC are losers in the Sensex.

The Indian rupee opened lower by 8 paise at 66.66 per dollar on Tuesday versus previous close of 66.58.

The 30-share index was trading at 25,684, down 5 points or 0.02 per cent. It touched a high of 25,710.69 and a low of 25,649.56 in morning trade. 

The Nifty50 was trading at 7,860 down 6 points or 0.07 per cent. It touched a high of 7,874 and a low of 7,850.60 in the first 30 minutes of trade. 

The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.08 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.21 per cent higher. 

HUL (up 1.6 per cent), Dr Reddy's Laboratories (up 1.4 per cent), HDFC (up 0.7 per cent), Infosys (up 0.5 per cent), and Axis Bank (up 0.47 per cent), were the major Sensex gainers. 


Tata Motors (down 2.8 per cent), Bharti Airtel (down 1.2 per cent), and NTPC (down 1.05 per cent) were the major Sensex losers.
