The Sensex is up 218.54 points or 0.9 percent at 25655.51, and the Nifty is up 65.90 points or 0.8 percent at 7871.80. About 930 shares have advanced, 244 shares declined, and 54 shares are unchanged.
Adani Ports, Tata Motors, Hindalco, HDFC and Bharti Airtel are top gainers while Sun Pharma, Coal India and Dr Reddy's Labs are losers in the Sensex.
