Sensex, on Friday, closed 63 points down at 30188 - TradeBizz Research

Sensex, on Friday, closed 63 points down at 30188. Among sectors, Power, Banks and Consumer durables lost over 0.8% to 1.0% all. Among stocks, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and Asian Paints lost in excess of 1.2% to 3.0% each. Stock Market breadth was negative with 1845 declines against 940 advances.

Nifty closed 22 points down at 9,401. Today, we expect stock markets to open on a  positive note on the back of positive global cues.

US Markets closed on a mixed note. Dow closed 0.1% down while Nasdaq closed 0.1% up, as April Consumer prices and retail sales information reinforced outlook for tepid economic growth. Today, US markets will see data releases on Empire state manufacturing Index and TIC Long term purchases. Get Stock Cash Tips

Asian markets are trading on a mixed note; Nikkei is trading 0.2% down and Hang Seng is trading 0.5% up. SGX Nifty is trading 30 points higher at 9,448. Indian ADRs ended the day on a mixed note. Among financial ADRs, ICICI Bank closed 0.1% lower, while HDFC Bank closed 0.8% higher. Among IT ADRs, Wipro advanced 0.4% and Infosys closed 0.1% higher. Tata Motors ADR closed 0.3% up.
