Stock Market Pointer By TradeBizz Research

Sensex, on Monday, closed 80 points down at 28,813. Among sectors, Power, Auto and Banks lost over 0.8% to 1.4% each. Among stocks, Bharti Airtel, Power Grid and Axis Bank lost over 2.8% to 3.6% each. Market breadth was negative with 1,520 declines against 1,259 advances.
 
Nifty closed 43 points down at 8,897. Today, we expect markets to open on a flat note on the back of steady global cues.

US Markets closed on a positive note. Dow closed flat while Nasdaq 0.3% up. U.S. stocks advanced Monday to record highs as investors awaited a speech today by U.S. President Donald Trump that’s expected to provide more details on his policies. US markets, today, will see data releases on Prelim GDP q/q, Goods Trade Balance, Prelim GDP Price Index q/q, Prelim Wholesale Inventories m/m, S&P/CS Composite-20 HPI y/y, Chicago PMI, CB Consumer Confidence, Richmond Manufacturing Index and President Trump Speaks. 

Asian markets are trading on a mixed note; Nikkei is trading 0.7% up and Hang Seng is trading 0.1% lower. SGX Nifty is trading flat at 8,925. Indian ADRs ended the day on a mixed note. Among financial ADRs, ICICI Bank closed 1.9% down, while HDFC Bank closed flat. Among IT ADRs, Wipro closed 0.4% higher and Infosys closed flat. Tata Motors ADR closed 0.9% down.
