Jindal Poly Films gets nod for expansion plan worth Rs 350 crore
Jindal Poly Films has received an approval for expansion plans for its India operation by way of investment of Rs 350 crore in Polyester Line - H, (PET) and CP Plant for manufacturing of Polyester Chips to be used for internal consumption to manufacture BOPET Film. After commencement of Line, the combined capacity of BOPET films will be totaling to 1,82,000 TPA.

Jet Airways ties-up for code share flights with Fiji Airways
Jet Airways has tied-up with Fiji Airways to provide seamless air connectivity between India and Fiji through Singapore and Hong Kong with code share flights. As part of the pact, which is effective from March 8, the passengers of Jet Airways will be allowed to travel Nadi in the pacific nation, using Fiji Airways network. Similarly, the passengers of Fiji Airways will be allowed to travel to Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai on Jet Airways flight to these places from Singapore. The Jet Airways flight from Hong Kong to Mumbai and Delhi will also be operated as code-share flight.

Tata Motors’ arm reports 9.3% rise in February retail sales
Tata Motors’ subsidiary-Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has achieved its best ever February sales performance in 2017, with total retail sales of 40,978 vehicles, up 9.3% on the prior year, primarily driven by continuing strong sales of the Jaguar F-PACE, XE, Land Rover Discovery Sport, Range Rover and Evoque. By region, Jaguar Land Rover’s global retail sales performance for February showed growth in China (40.4%), North America (16.2%) and the UK (14.2%) but down slightly in Europe (1.6%) and in other overseas markets (6.5%).
Crompton Greaves sells automation biz to Alfanar for Rs 845 cr
Crompton Greaves (CG) has completed the sale of its B2B automation business to Saudi Arabia’s Alfanar for an enterprise value of euro 120 million (about Rs. 845 crore). The company along with its subsidiary, C G International BV, has completed the sale with effect from March 6, upon execution of share purchase agreements and other related transactional documents. The proceeds of the sale will be used to retire substantial portion of the company’s international debt.
Lupin launches generic Paxil CR tablets in US
Lupin has launched generic Paxil CR (Paroxetin) Extended Release Tablets USP, 12.5 mg, 25 mg and 37.5 mg having received an approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) earlier. Paxil CR Tablets had US sales of $126.4 million. It’s Paroxetin Extended Release Tablets USP; 12.5 mg, 25 mg and 37.5 mg are the AB rated generic equivalents of Apotex Technologies, Inc’s Paxil CR Tablets, 12.5 mg, 25 mg and 37.5 mg. It is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
