The market has extended its rally with the Nifty comfortable above 7800. The 50-share is up 96.50 points or 1.2 percent at 7829.95. The Sensex is up 324.89 points or 1.3 percent at 25553.39. About 1343 shares have advanced, 498 shares declined, and 74 shares are unchanged. NTPC, Bajaj Auto,
HDFC twins and ITC are top gainers in the Sensex.
The 30-share index was trading at 25,420, up 192 point or 0.76 per cent. It touched a high of 25,435.19 and a low of 25,302.86 in morning trade.
The Nifty50 was trading at 7,785 up 51 points or 0.61 per cent. It touched a high of 7,790.80 and a low of 7,753.55 in the first 30 minutes of trade.
The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.44 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.54 per cent higher.
ITC (up 1.7 per cent), NTPC (up 1.6 per cent), 0054ata Steel (up 1.3 per cent), ONGC (up 1.3 per cent), and Adani Ports (up 1.2 per cent), were the major Sensex gainers.
Dr Redyy's Laboratories (down 2.1 per cent), Sun Pharma (down 0.68 per cent), and TCS (down 0.21 per cent) were the major Sensex losers.
